OKGwidget's #1 best Xmas card

Posted on January 25, 2008 19:05 by OKGWidget

State Rep. Ryan McMullen wins OKGwidget's way-late Xmas card contest! What does he win? His choice of pickin' from our schwag bag of crap PR folks send us. So all you folks out there in Lone Wolf, or wherever else House Distrct 55 stretches, get the word out! Or Rep. McMullen could just e-mail us to claim his prize. We might even have an extra for that hound.

OKGwidget's #5 best Xmas card

Posted on January 3, 2008 20:05 by OKGWidget

The holidays are over and OKGwidget received many "best wishes" this year, so here are our top five picks from the Christmas card pile. Although the Omniplex never sent us a goodbye letter, Science Museum Oklahoma sent us a wonderful, chemically enhanced seasonal greeting! Thanks, Science!

Ferreting about

No word yet as to whether "Grizzley" is always attached to a disembodied hand. Such info would aid in our search.

Things that are lies

Google's ad program not only lies, but steals your thoughs and mental wish waves. Scary.

Do your timbers shiver?

Posted on September 14, 2007 08:46 by OKGWidget

With Talk Like a Pirate Day coming Sept. 19, we offer these signs you're an actual pirate:
1. Shoulder of shirt encrusted with parrot excrement
2. Peg leg expands during this humid season
3. Lack of one eye makes saving doubloons for Lasik affordable
4. Scurvy

Check out local TLAP Day happenings, involving music, kids and alcohol (but not at the same time).

OKC student invades Korea

Posted on August 25, 2007 07:59 by OKGWidget

Putnam City High School student Morgan Tepsic reports that his recent trip to Korea – at which he handed out homemade stuffed monsters to locals – was a success. So much that he's now working with contacts to sell his "blurbs" in Korean stores. However, Tepsic said, "Koreans cannot say their Ls or Rs, so we had to change the name for them," so they're now called "TookieTookie."

For the original scoop on Tepsic's trip, check out this Gazette story.
